Victoria Park Play Area

Honestly, for a park right in the middle of Taunton, Victoria Park punches well above its weight. The play area covers the classics — slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox — which keeps kids from toddlers right up to school age genuinely occupied rather than bored after ten minutes. What I like is that once they’re done with the equipment, there’s a proper open grass field to just run around on, plus a basketball court, football pitch, and bike track if the older ones want something more. Picnic tables and benches mean you can actually sit down comfortably, there are restrooms on site, and parking isn’t a nightmare. It’s the kind of place you can make a whole afternoon of without much planning.
