West Park Playground

One of Wolverhampton’s proper hidden gems, West Park has that rare combination of solid play facilities and enough open green space that you don’t feel like you’re on top of other families. The pond nearby makes for a decent little walk after the kids have burned off some energy on the equipment, and there are shade trees dotted around which you’ll genuinely appreciate on a warm day. Parking’s straightforward, the loos are on site, and the picnic tables mean you can actually make an afternoon of it without rushing off. It caters to all ages reasonably well — nothing flashy, but that’s kind of the point. Locals come back regularly for a reason.
