Decent wee play area right in Castle Douglas — nothing fancy, but it does the job when the kids need to burn off some energy. There are picnic tables and benches dotted around, so you’re not stuck standing the whole time, which locals will appreciate. It’s the kind of spot you stop at on a whim rather than make a special trip for, but that’s not really a criticism. Handy if you’re already in town doing the shops.
