Honestly, it’s the kind of spot that depends entirely on when you show up. After any rain — and this is Bangor, so that’s most of the time — the ground turns into a proper mud pit, so pack the wellies or just accept the consequences. On a decent sunny day though, it’s a perfectly fine place to let the kids burn off some energy. The maintenance could do with a bit more attention, it has to be said, but locals make it work. Worth knowing about if you’re in the area and the weather’s playing ball.
