Ohlone Greenway Playground

Locals in this part of Berkeley know the Ohlone Greenway is one of the better spots to burn a morning with little kids in tow. The enclosed play area keeps toddlers contained while older ones work the climbing structure or hit the slides, and the water feature is basically a lifesaver come July. When the kids need a break from the playground, there’s a full basketball court, open grass, and the greenway path stretching out for a decent walk or jog. Dogs are welcome too, so it’s not unusual to see the whole family — four-legged members included — making a day of it. Parking is easy enough to find, benches are actually in decent shape, and the place tends to stay pretty clean.
