Playground Inside Huntington Beach Central Park

If you live in HB and haven’t figured out that Central Park is the move on a hot afternoon, you’re missing out. The shade trees and covered benches actually make it possible to hang out without melting, which is not something you can say about a lot of OC playgrounds. Kids from toddler age up to around 10 have plenty to work with — slides, swings, climbing structures, and tunnels that always seem to have a line of little ones waiting their turn. The open grass field is great when they need to burn off extra energy, and the walking path through the park means you can squeeze in a lap or two while they play. Restrooms and parking are right there, so it’s genuinely easy to make a morning of it.
