Beauvoir Playground

The zipline alone makes this place worth the trip — you don’t see that at your average DC playground. Beauvoir has a solid setup for the 2-8 crowd: climbing structures, tunnels, slides, swings, and two sandboxes that keep little ones busy long past when you’d normally be heading home. The whole thing is fenced in, which parents in this city know is worth its weight in gold, and there’s plenty of shaded seating so you’re not standing in the sun the whole time. It sits in an urban setting but has a surprisingly natural feel to the design. Just note it’s weekend access for the public, so plan accordingly.
