Bluejacket Park playground

Bluejacket Park is one of those smaller neighborhood spots in Overland Park that punches above its weight, especially if you’ve got kids in that 2-to-8 sweet spot. The play structures are newer and well-suited for little ones, and the swing set gets a lot of use on weekday mornings. There’s a splash pad too, which honestly makes it worth the trip in summer. The open grass field gives kids room to run, and the walking path is a nice loop for parents who want to keep moving. Fair warning though — shade is limited, so bring sunscreen or plan for an early morning visit.
