Smith Playground

If you haven’t been to Smith Playground since the renovation, it’s worth making the trip. The updated play structures are legitimately well-done — slides, swings, a solid climbing setup, and a water feature that kids absolutely destroy in the summer. What sets this place apart from other Boston parks is the sheer range of stuff happening at once: basketball, soccer, a bike track, and wide open grass that actually gets used. Grab a bench or one of the picnic tables and you’ll easily kill a few hours here without running out of things to watch.
