Newton Highlands Playground

Good-sized park that pulls off the rare trick of working well for pretty much every age group. The fenced tot lot is a lifesaver if you’ve got little ones — you’re not constantly scanning the perimeter while your kid plays. Beyond that, there’s a basketball court, soccer field, and enough open grass that you can actually spread out without feeling like you’re on top of other families. Shade trees and benches are scattered in all the right spots, and the walking path is a solid loop if you’re doing laps while the kids burn off energy. It’s close to some trail access too, so on a good day you can extend the whole outing pretty easily.
