Right on the Detroit Riverfront, this little spot is a solid pick if you’ve got toddlers who just want to dig in the sand for an hour. The sandbox keeps young kids genuinely occupied, and the benches mean you’re not standing around the whole time. Restrooms on-site is a bigger deal than people give it credit for — nobody wants to pack up and leave because nature called. It’s clean, low-key, and the river views make it easy for adults to actually decompress while the kids do their thing.
