If you live on the east side and have kids under 12, you already know about this place. LaSalle-Ford is one of those low-key neighborhood spots that just works — swings for the little ones, a basketball court for anyone who wants to run, and enough open grass to actually spread out. Pack a cooler and use the BBQ area, because the picnic tables get claimed early on weekends for a reason. It’s quiet enough to actually relax while the kids do their thing, which honestly isn’t something you can say about every park in Detroit.
