Syracuse Playground

This spot on Syracuse has been cleaned up nicely and it shows — the equipment is in solid shape, which isn’t something you can say about every Detroit park. Kids from toddlers up to about 14 get good use out of it, between the slides, swings, and seesaw for the little ones and the basketball court for older kids burning off energy. The open grass field gives families real room to spread out, and the picnic tables and BBQ area make it an easy choice when you’re planning a cookout or just want to grill something simple on a Saturday. Benches are actually in decent condition too, so you’re not standing around the whole time. Locals use it for community gatherings pretty regularly, and it stays cleaner than a lot of parks in the area — that alone keeps people coming back.
