The Emerging Parent

Geared specifically toward the 0-5 crowd, this Lansing spot gets it right in ways a lot of general play spaces don’t. Everything here is picked with little ones actually in mind — no random toys that are technically “for kids” but really meant for six-year-olds. Parents get shaded seating and benches, so you’re not hovering awkwardly or standing for an hour. It’s clean, which sounds like a low bar but genuinely isn’t around here. More than anything, it feels like a place built by people who understand that parents need community just as much as the kids do.
