Powderhorn Park West Playground

Powderhorn is one of those parks that locals genuinely love, and the west playground side is where a lot of families end up spending their afternoons. The climbing structure gets a solid workout from kids in the 2-12 range — it’s not your standard boring equipment. You’ve got the lake right there adding some nice scenery while the little ones burn energy, and the open grass field gives older kids room to roam when they’re done climbing. The walking path around the lake is an easy loop, good for when you need to move but don’t want anything intense. Summer brings out the wading water feature and the park fills up for community events, so if you’re a first-timer, a quiet weekday morning is honestly the better call.
