Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park

If you haven’t made the drive out to this St. Louis gem yet, you’re missing out. The lake is the real draw — people come for the water rentals and the fishing, but the paved biking and walking trails that loop through the shaded tree cover are honestly just as good. Pack a lunch, grab one of the picnic tables near the water, and plan to stay a while. The shaded seating areas make it manageable even on hot Missouri afternoons, and there’s a soccer field if the kids need to burn off extra energy.
