Madison Avenue Playground

The basketball courts here get a real workout — locals are out there pretty much year-round, and there’s usually a pickup game happening if you stop by on a weekend. There’s also some outdoor exercise equipment, which you don’t see at every Albany park, plus swings and a climbing structure for the younger kids. It’s the kind of spot where a parent can get a few pull-ups in while the kids burn off energy, which honestly makes it more useful than most. The facilities are a bit worn, but there’s talk of improvements coming, and the community clearly cares about this place. Worth knowing about if you’re on Madison Avenue and need somewhere to move around.
