Swansboro Municipal Park

Locals know this park is worth the trip — the splash pad alone makes it a summer staple for families across Swansboro. There’s a solid climbing structure and swings for the kids, plus open grass and a soccer field for whoever needs to burn off more energy. Shaded seating is actually plentiful here, which isn’t something you can say about every park in Carteret County, and parents can keep an eye on the play areas without constantly chasing anyone down. The walking path winds out toward the tree line, so it has that nice forest-edge feel if you want a quick trail fix after the barbecue grills do their thing. A genuinely well-rounded spot that holds up for littles and older kids alike.
