Sunrise Park Playground

Sunrise Park is one of those spots in Yukon that locals keep coming back to on weekday mornings when you want something low-key. The enclosed play area is a lifesaver for parents with younger kids — you can actually sit at the picnic tables and have a conversation without chasing anyone into a parking lot. Ages 2 through 12 all find something to do here, between the climbing structure, sandbox, slides, and that water feature the little ones go absolutely feral for in summer. Shade trees make the afternoon heat bearable, and the walking path gives older kids room to roam while you keep an eye on things.
