Good-sized park that gets solid use from the surrounding Arlington neighborhoods, and honestly it earns it. The basketball court and soccer field see real action on weekends, and there’s enough open grass that kids 4 to 16 can actually spread out without stepping on each other. Shade trees and covered seating make a difference in the Texas heat — you won’t be baking on a bench while the kids run around. The walking path is a nice loop if you want to get some steps in while keeping an eye on things. Bring a cooler and claim a picnic table early if you’re planning a family get-together, because this one fills up.
