Honestly, the views from here are reason enough to visit — on a clear day you get the Seattle skyline, Elliott Bay, and Mount Rainier all at once, which never really gets old. There are swings for the kids, a basketball court, and a bike track, plus wide open grass that people actually use instead of just walking past. Pack a cooler because the BBQ and picnic setup here is legit — one of the better spots in the city for a low-key afternoon outside. The neighborhood is quiet, parking is pretty easy to find on the street, and restrooms are on-site so you can actually stay a while. It draws a mix of regulars, families, and people just looking to decompress without driving out of the city.
