Lakewood Playground

This is one of those parks that actually has something for everyone in the family, which sounds like a cliché until you’re watching your kid on the swings while your older one shoots hoops and your partner walks the path around the lake. The water feature keeps the little ones entertained on warm Seattle days, and the shade trees mean you’re not completely miserable waiting them out. Soccer field and bike track draw a solid crowd on weekends, but it rarely feels overcrowded. Restrooms are there when you need them, picnic tables are actually usable, and the fields are kept in genuinely good shape — not every neighborhood park in the city can say that.
