Creekside Park

If you live on this side of Anchorage, Creekside Park is just one of those spots you end up at constantly. It’s close to both the beach and the trails, so you can knock out a walk through the trees and still have time to shoot hoops on the basketball court before lunch. The shaded seating and picnic tables with BBQ access make it a solid call for a low-key afternoon with family — no planning required. The open grass field gives kids room to actually run around, and the whole place stays pretty quiet, which is honestly rare for a park this convenient. Year-round locals know it well; everyone else is still figuring it out.
