Jewel Lake Playground

The pirate ship structure here is legitimately one of the cooler setups in Anchorage — kids 5 to 12 will claim it for hours, especially once they discover the zipline. It’s right near Jewel Lake, so after the playground runs its course you can easily shift to fishing, swimming, or just watching the water. The recent renovations show — everything feels solid and well thought out. BBQ grills and clean restrooms make it easy to spend most of the day here without having to run back home for anything. Honestly a go-to spot for families on the south end of town.
