Margaret Eagan Sullivan Playground

Right on the edge of Westchester Lagoon, this little park punches well above its weight for families with toddlers. The water feature gets a ton of use on warmer Anchorage days, and the swings are solid for the 1-5 crowd. What really sets it apart is the location — you’re steps from both Chester Creek Trail and the Coastal Trail, so it’s easy to turn a playground visit into a proper walk. In summer, people are out kayaking on the lagoon; come winter, it flips to a skating spot. Parking and restrooms on site means you’re not scrambling, which honestly makes a difference up here.
