Deer Ridge Park

Honestly, this little spot in Urbandale is one of those underrated gems that locals with toddlers and early elementary kids keep coming back to. The climbing structure gives the 2-8 crowd a real challenge without being overwhelming, and that tall slide is legitimately fun — kids who are a little nervous about it the first time are usually begging to go again two minutes later. It’s a smaller park, so don’t expect a sprawling setup, but that’s kind of the point. Easy to keep an eye on everyone, and the kids stay genuinely busy.
