If you live in this part of Urbandale, you already know this little park is one of the better-kept secrets on the west side. The rubber surface is newer and way easier on knees than the old mulch setup — parents with toddlers especially appreciate it. Kids 2 to 10 have plenty to keep them busy between the slides, swings, and climbing structure, and there’s a half basketball court if older siblings need something to do. The oversized wooden chairs are honestly kind of a vibe — not your standard park bench situation. Shade trees, picnic tables, and decent parking round it out, making it an easy yes for a low-key afternoon outside.
