If you live anywhere near Urbandale, this is the kind of park you end up at more weekends than you planned. The playground setup covers the basics well — slides, swings, a solid climbing structure — and there’s enough open grass and a soccer field that older kids don’t get bored while the little ones do their thing. The walking path wraps around a pond, which honestly makes it worth the trip on its own, especially in the evening. Shade trees and covered seating mean you’re not melting in July, and the restrooms and parking situation are way less stressful than most parks in the area. It’s just a reliable, well-rounded spot that rarely disappoints.
