Tucked into one of Seattle’s oldest green spaces, this little playground punches above its weight for toddlers and preschoolers. The climbing structure is scaled just right for the 2-5 crowd — nothing too intimidating, but enough to keep kids genuinely busy. The shade trees here are massive and old-growth serious, so even on a rare sunny Seattle afternoon you’re not baking on a bench. Dogs are a constant presence in the off-leash area nearby, which either delights or distracts your kids depending on the day. If you need to grill and let the little ones run the grass field while you decompress from downtown, this is a legitimately solid spot to do exactly that.
