One of the better-kept playgrounds on the southside, this one ticks most of the boxes for families with kids under 12. The full enclosure is a genuine relief — you can actually relax on one of the benches without constantly doing a headcount. Little ones tend to make a beeline for the sandpit, which is decent-sized and usually well looked after. There’s a soccer field and open grass nearby if older kids need to burn off extra energy, and the coffee van means you don’t have to rush home the second you arrive. Parking is handy too, which makes it an easy regular stop rather than a big planned outing.
