The riverside walk alone makes this spot worth the trip — follow it through the small wooded stretch and it genuinely doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of Cork city at all. Kids have slides and a climbing structure to keep them busy while adults can use the exercise equipment nearby, which is a handy setup if you want to actually move yourself while the kids play. That said, a few locals have flagged some safety concerns about the play area, so it’s worth keeping a close eye on younger ones. Dog walkers and families tend to mix well here, especially on a dry weekend morning.
