Castle Park Playground

Honestly, for a free playground this one punches well above its weight — it’s one of the biggest in Colchester and genuinely keeps kids busy for hours. There’s a good split between areas, with a fenced sandpit that works well for the little ones while older kids gravitate toward the slides, climbing frame, zipline, and swings. The zipline in particular is always busy, fair warning. Toilets on site and an open grass field nearby mean you’re not scrambling when nature calls or when someone needs to burn off extra energy. Solid choice for a full afternoon out without spending a penny.
