Lakeland Community Playground

Got a soft spot for this one — it’s one of those rare spots in Colchester where kids of genuinely all ages actually find something to do. The climbing structure keeps older ones busy while the sandbox and musical equipment tend to swallow toddlers whole (in the best way). There’s a merry go round and swings too, so yeah, they’ve covered the classics. The café is worth mentioning on its own — proper food, fair prices, and the staff are the kind who’ll actually help you out rather than stare through you. Parking, loos, and a decent stretch of grass round it off nicely.
