Koret Children’s Playground

Those concrete slides are the real draw here — grab a piece of cardboard from the coffee stand nearby and kids will ride them for an hour straight without complaint. It’s one of the older playgrounds in Golden Gate Park, and honestly that’s part of the charm: a proper merry-go-round, solid climbing structures, swings, and a sandbox that actually gets used. The open grass field gives everyone room to spread out, and the shade trees mean it stays comfortable even when the rest of the city is baking. Parents can actually see the whole setup from most spots, and the restrooms are right there, which matters more than people admit. If you’re in the Inner Sunset or just passing through the park, this one’s worth the stop over some of the newer, flashier playgrounds around town.
