Honestly, this place is a bit of a hidden gem that locals don’t talk about nearly enough. It’s a proper hands-on, educational day out for kids around five to seven — they get to explore the history of Cork’s water supply through interactive exhibits with genuinely impressive old machinery that holds their attention better than you’d expect. The staff here are the real deal, patient and enthusiastic without being over the top. There’s a walking path and a pond nearby, so you can stretch your legs before or after, and parking makes the whole thing stress-free. For the price, you’d be hard pushed to find better value for a rainy afternoon in the city.
